Confirmation Instructions

As a courtesy, we will send you a reminder email or text one or two business days before your appointment.

All appointments, projects, and services:

We ask that you please keep any pets in the home in a secure location where our technicians and crews will not come into contact with them. We love pets! But we have to go in and out of the house and we don’t want to take any chances of letting your fur-baby escape.

While the concern for COVID has decreased Hansen & Sons remains adamant about protecting you and your family as well as our employees. We ask that if you or anyone else in the home is awaiting a COVID test result or tests positive please give us a call to reschedule.

Cleaning & Inspection Service

Please do not light a fire in your fireplace or appliance for 48 hours prior to your appointment time and remove any ash from the firebox. This gives ample time for everything to cool so that our technician can safely inspect / sweep without getting hurt. If we are sweeping your furnace flue, we will turn it off and back on as needed.

The Day of Your Appointment:

Remember to remove fragile or precious items from the area near the fireplace. We will need approximately 5-6 feet around the area to be clear so that we can get our equipment in place. Also we ask that you allow 60-90 minutes on the day of the appointment so that we may provide you with the best possible service.

NOTE! It is not recommended to use any of the following inside your fireplace:

X Wet wood

X Plastic

X Christmas trees

X Cardboard

X Treated wood

X Driftwood

X Colored print

X Dryer lint

X Particle board

X Garbage

X Plywood

X Starters or accelerants

Payment is due at the time of completion and this can be paid directly to the foreman/technician by check or credit card.

Install or Inside Project

Please clear fragile or precious items from the area near the fireplace. We will need approximately 5-6 feet around the area to be clear so that we can get our equipment in place.

We recommend that you please be present for the last hour or two as the crew will need to walk you through unit operations and there is a required paperwork signing for this as well.

Payment is due at the time of completion and this can be paid directly to the foreman/technician by check or credit card.

Masonry or Outside Project

All masonry and outside projects will be scheduled for the month of, this confirmation will show you a date but this may not reflect the date that we come out to start and complete the repairs. Firm scheduling dates will only be given when inside access is needed, if you have any concerns please contact Paige in our office at 608-244-9466 extension #3.

We will need clear access to water and electricity outside of the home for our equipment. If either or both of those will not be available, please call us right away so we can arrange another method for the utility needs.

If there is a power line by the chimney, you either have seen or will see your provider coming out to sleeve this for safety reasons unless the office has spoken with you in advance to arrange a complete disconnect.

Free Estimate

Since our estimates are currently being offered free of charge, we do not schedule a specific arrival time for the day of the appointment. Every effort will be made to give you ample time to be present if needed the day of the appointment.
